If any mechanical equipment wants to be used for a long time, maintenance is the first element. If you don't pay attention to maintenance, no matter how good the equipment is, it will not be durable. Just like a car needs regular maintenance, the same is true for laser equipment. The main components of a laser cutting machine can be divided into five types: light source system, dust removal system, transmission system, cooling system, and circuit system.
The key parts that need maintenance are: cooling system (to ensure constant temperature effect), dust removal system (to ensure dust removal effect), optical path system (to ensure beam quality), and transmission system (focus on ensuring normal operation).
1. Cooling system maintenance
The water inside the water cooler needs to be replaced regularly, and the general replacement frequency is one month. The water cooler is used as circulating water to cool down the laser and other parts of fiber laser cutter. When used for a long time, the water quality will be reduced and scale will easily form, which will block the waterway, cause the water flow to decrease, and reduce the cooling effect. Therefore, regular replacement of water should be treated as a primary issue. For water, try to choose distilled water. If there are no conditions, you can choose deionized water. Each manufacturer has requirements for water quality. Remember to meet the requirements. Otherwise, long-term use of water that does not meet the standard will cause scale to accumulate inside the laser.
2. Dust removal system maintenance
Long-term use of the fan will cause a lot of solid dust to accumulate inside the fan, causing the fan to produce a lot of noise, which is also not conducive to exhaust and odor removal. When the suction power of the fan is insufficient and the smoke exhaust is not smooth, first turn off the power, remove the air inlet and outlet ducts from the fan, remove the dust inside, then turn the fan upside down and pull the blades inside until they are clean., and then install the fan.
3. Optical system maintenance
The laser is reflected and focused by the lens and then emitted from the laser head. After the equipment has been running for a period of time, some dust will stick to the surface of the lens. This dust will have a great impact on the reflectivity and transmittance of the lens, resulting in a reduction in laser power. At this time, the lens needs to be cleaned. of dust. But you must be careful when cleaning. Lenses are fragile items. They should be handled with care and do not touch the lenses with sharp objects or hard objects.
The steps and precautions for cleaning the lens are as follows: First, use absorbent cotton dipped in ethanol and carefully wipe it in a rotating direction from the center to the edge of the lens. The lens needs to be wiped gently without damaging the surface coating. During the wiping process, handle it with care to prevent falling., please be sure to keep the concave side downward when installing the focusing mirror. In addition, try to reduce the number of ultra-high-speed perforations used in daily life. Using regular perforations can extend the service life of the focusing lens.
4. Transmission system maintenance
In a metal sheet laser cutting machine, the transmission system is equivalent to human hands and feet. The transmission system directly affects the normal operation and service life of the equipment. The cnc laser tube cutting machine will produce smoke during the long-term cutting process. The fine smoke will enter the equipment through the dust cover and adhere to the guide rail rack. Long-term accumulation will increase the guide rail teeth. The wear and tear of the rack and rack guide rails are originally relatively precise accessories, and over time they will cause damage to the slider and gears. Therefore, the guide rail rack must be dusted and cleaned regularly. After cleaning the dust attached to the guide rail rack, grease the rack with grease and lubricate the guide rail with lubricating oil.
5. Working environment requirements
The production workshop where the equipment is placed needs to be kept dry and well-ventilated. The indoor temperature is preferably between 4 and 33 degrees. Equipment condensation prevention should be done in summer and anti-freezing measures should be taken in winter. The equipment should be placed away from places with electromagnetic interference, away from places with large amounts of electricity and strong earthquakes. Interference from large amounts of electricity will cause the equipment to malfunction from time to time. Although it is not inevitable, precautions must be taken, so the equipment should not be placed in places with large electric welding machine, giant electric mixer and other equipment. Not to mention strong vibrations. Ground vibrations will obviously cause deviations in the accuracy of laser engraving.
6. Additional notes
During the operation of the equipment, operators should always observe the operation of the equipment. If any abnormality occurs, they should immediately stop the operation of the equipment, cut off the power supply, and report to professionals in time to inspect the equipment. They are not allowed to disassemble and repair the equipment without permission. They should also frequently Make regular statistics on the usage of the equipment. If there is any performance deviation, it should be replaced in time to prevent it from happening before it happens. If you don't know whether the material can be processed, do not process it to avoid potential danger and damage to the laser equipment.
